Ah! Modern love stories are so uncomplicated no? No more getting to know each other better. Most info about yourself is on social networking accounts already. And that is why I do not have a Facebook or Orkut account and my Twitter account is protected tee hee

Have nice worry-full weekend, all ye guys :p

The problems of youth - Hah! the information these days has really enlarged. I think when I first started dating my wife we still had a rotary telephone. The fax was non existant. The computer was in a hugh IBM building taking up many stories - or so I hear. But back to the dating issue. I think -one thing that hasn't changed. Boy meets girl and says, WOW! or something like that.

Another scenario

Girl checks out some boy's social networking accounts
Finds him on Orkut, Facebook and Twitter
Girl chats with boy on GTalk

One day,

Girl meets boy
Boy asks girl out
Girl likes boy

...and they live happily ever after!

Lol , forget about girl-boy, boy-girl.Now a days prospective employers are checking social networking sites before recruiting.

For eg: album 1 - anish partying with hot blondes album 2 - Anish is having a wild bachelors party.
So the outcome is they will reject us before even interviewing :)

Lucky you didn't join FB or orkut.I will be deleting my orkut soon though wanna keep FB for sentimental reasons :D :D

Social networking profiles can be grossly misleading anyway, in terms of "knowing" a person.

so basically you're saying that there's a 50% chance of success? sounds like a good deal to me..

Still don't you think its a huge improvement from what was going on in our country? Usually the hubby-wifey come face to face for the first time only during first night. Even now many marriages are fixed without the 2 souls not having the slightest clue about each other...especially in these arranged marriages where the groom arrives from 'Gelf' at the 11th hour of wedding...

So I think its a huuuuge improvement. Thanks orkut and facebook...and Twitter.. ;)

Sorry, my earlier comment made no sense whatsoever because some text in between disappeared. So deleted it.

Grayquill: "Boy meets girl and says, WOW " - that still remains thank god! :) Though we gals have competition these days from "some" guys! :(

Jean & The blue Indian: But the initial enabler still remains Google! :)

The Holy Lama: heh heh *evil laugh*

DP: Absolutely. :)

Half Kallan : lol!! You do that!

Anon: Perfect!! You completed the trilogy. :) Now why didn't I think of that!

Anish: Most FB a/c are locked right? Then how can one snoop? Never understood this! But I have heard of these incidents :) So better lock your accounts and do not add your HR :p

Thomas: I know! But then how many people think like that!

Jackson: Yes! :)

Rajlakshmi: Virtual "checking out" actually! :)

Scorpiogenius: I agree! :)

Karthik: No probs! :)

It's ok. It just happened to be the first thing that came to my mind. That's all. :)

Ohh yeahh, not even a single software is bug free(that to a software like FB with 100's of sub applications). In FB you can lock your account by giving access only to your friends. But if someone tagged you , then the visiblity will be depend on there settings also, which enable stalkers to snoop into your albums. It is always better to play safe in social networking sites :)

Sajith: Thank you :) And its @anjaliphilip

Avdi: True! :)

Jeseem: LOL!!

Bullshee: A pleasant one dahling! ;;)

blunt edges: Only four people in my team have an FB a/c :| The rest have a life :p

Anish: But photos are not such a giveaway right? Specially those that you load in FB? As long as your wall is locked I guess u r fine! But I agree, it is always better to play safe in social networking sites :)
