  9. Gee! From now on I will think twice before ever opening MS Word again. Galti se "mera waala red" khul gaya to!! :(

  10. I would also second that for some of the themes in wordpress. Though wordpress is better than blogger where ease of use is concerned, the presentation formats of blogger score over wordpress.

This is also the way many people describe politicians.

  11. Anon: Pray for me :p

    Anoop: Sure!

Neihal: :)) Guess you got the joke he he

HnL: We have a way of expressing things dont we? :)) Thank you doc!

mathew and inder: MS Word Font colors are eye sores, kapiche? :))

Anon 2: Very true, it is truly horrible and I am kinda spoilt with the palette in Photoshop and Corel :)

    mind curry: hmmm?

    sreejith: Thank buddy!!! :)

Koutilya: And the MS Word Red is the worst :))

    Fleiger; Didn't get you!

Asterix: LOL, mera wala red is definitely not MS Word Red!!

Hiren: Blogger is definitely more pleasing to the eye than Wordpress. I would describe politicians as a bunch of MS Word Font colors..horrible!!! :))

  12. All the discussions about colors are greek and latin for me... I am colour blind!!!

  13. Well, when you said MS Word red, the only image in front of my color-ignorant male eyes was the red colour you get when MS Word underlines the spelling-mistakes. Is that the one you are talking about?

  14. I so hope poor Reshmi will not read this post :(
I remember having a girlie conversation in college, and the victim of our conversation was unfortunately seated behind us... thankfully sleeping!!

  15. Ms PPT colors anyone?

Our cos paid a UK based agency a few million euros to work out our new "brand" color scheme (also called essence for all those who dont like to scheme).

    I like the colors now.

    Any guesses who we are?

I am a simple man. The color of money has its appeal.

  16. some MS guys HAVE read this! THEY might conjure up an unhandled-exception-hex on you! MS Word Rox and so do the colors! uhm...at least the ones on Office 12 do...so THERE!

  17. i havent opened MS Word in a year...righting technical specs never called for the use of colours thankfully!!!

i actually can send u an MS Word ad a friend of mine sent us in college as he was into the CD writing business and wanted to undercut our other friends who were in the same line of work to make some extra money...was reminded of that and the gaudy use of colours in it when i read your post!!!

Acqua: I am no techie, G1 and G2 were and I use the horrible MS Word colors extensively :)

l.hyena: LOL If he doesnt notice then I am printing this into a banner and hanging it in your managers cabin...with due credits to you of course :))

    dhanush: Will try that :)

Jiby: You are right, they are gaudy and that is what we meant when we used that analogy to describe the salwar :)

Ok, now that I got my speech back, do I want to know what color the top was?

  39. Talkin of color hues (and ur previous post on ads), remember that old Asian Paints ad featuring a middle aged couple and a weasel like color salesman?

Wifey says to the paint guy: "I want icky-icky-icky green!"

Paint Guy: "Errr... whats's icky icky icky green?!!"

Wifey lets her fingers run up her hubby's face while she coos "icky-icky-icky-" (hubby's face goes into a shade of green now)-"GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!"

The paint guy hold the palette in his brochure and ID's the matching color.

Now the hubby says "Now I need Goochie-Goochie-Goochie-Pink!"

Wifey slaps him playfully saying "Awww naughtyyyyyyyyy!"

    :P

Not exactly profound, but quite original eh?
    --------------------

PS: There was a girl in my college whom we guys called Padayappa 'coz she *always* wore those bright green/sulphur yellow/"ultra" violet/fluoroscent/shocking pink churidars.... You know, the "Pandi" colors we sanctimonious Mallus accuse all Tams being fond of? To her credit she didn't even care...

  40. Nightmares in black and white? Now, that's a thought.

Though why do you want nightmares at all is a ques. I would like to ask. F. for t. that...

    ReplyDelete
  41. An insult on Bill Gates :) and his colour sense.

  42. Aashik: *ouch* I knew it was too good to be true...that you would let me off the hook so easily :))

Ajith: You know you are right!!! :)

Anand : That ad was really nice and showed the range of shades of Asian Paints!! Hey that girl in your college seem to be a cool kinda gurl, more power to her for carrying it off with people like you around LOL

fleiger: Can't escape nightmares naah... :)

Lijo: lol I don't know if it's his doing but it is really bad :))

    ReplyDelete
  43. As long as people insist on wearing MS colors? Nope, you can't...

    ReplyDelete
  44. Sujith: Thanks :)

Fleiger: I do read this blog when I have the time. Really cool, the way the blogger 'rips' the dress sense of the 'beautiful people' :))
